Bob Marley had an amazing life, even if it was too short. His music had an element of spirituality in it, and perhaps that is one of the reasons he became such a big hit with so many different types of people. Of course, he believed in smoking weed, so there are some Bob Marley quotes that idolize the herb, which may not be as widely accepted, but many Bob Marley quotes have a universal truth in them that will stand the test of time.
1. The Best Way To View Life
Bob Marley had an easygoing attitude that seemed to be successful for him as he traveled through life. So, it’s not surprising that he viewed life as one big road, which is a great way to view life! If you imagine life as a road, with some bumps and some dips, and lots of signs helping you on your way, then you won’t question whether or not you are on the right path. You will know you are! Bumps and dips are just a part of the road, and going with the flow will help you enjoy the ride.
2. Nobody Can Tell You What To Do
It’s obvious that Bob Marley believed in making your own path in life. Even when he was given the advice to have his toe amputated, after he found out that a lesion under the nail of a toe was a symptom of cancer, he refused, which resulted in the cancer ultimately spreading throughout his body and resulting in his death. According to my research, what he had, a malignant melanoma, has a high cure rate if treated early. So, he determined his own destiny.
We all get to do that. Nobody else, despite their advice, can make the final decision for us. He made his according to his religious beliefs. You may make yours according to what inspires you or to your morals, but it’s always up to you in the end, so don’t forget that!
3. You Are Either Corrupt Or Not
The other day I was watching a show about a woman who cheated many people out of money, but blamed a man for convincing her to do it. This is one of the Bob Marley quotes that came up not long after I had watched her show. It’s obvious how true this really is.
Nobody can turn you into a dishonest or dishonorable person unless you already are one. If you have the morals and the ethics to do what is right, nobody can convince you that you must do what’s wrong. Not you or anyone else who has set their dial to ‘decent human being’ will budge for someone corrupt.
4. Some People Experience Life And Others Just Go Through It
Two people standing in the rain can have very different reactions. One will get wet, and feel wet. While the other will feel the rain, smell the rain, and experience the sensation of the rain hitting their body. It’s all about how they perceive the rain, and life is much the same way.
If you get out and experience life, using all your senses, and enjoy it, then you are going to be the person feeling the rain. If you feel like life happens to you, and dislike what is happening, then you are going to be the person who is wet. The good news is that you always have a choice to experience the rain rather than just get wet.
5. Carry THIS Attitude For More Happiness
The main lyrics from Three Little Birds is this quote over and over again. Is there a reason that this is still one of Bob Marley’s most popular songs? Probably! It’s a powerful little message that we can all hold on to during times of trouble or hardship. And it’s true.
If you think about it, everything always works out for the best. The hard times pass. Better times come. And everything is alright. Keep this quote in your mind as you go through life and the downs won’t get you as down as they used to.
6. Every Day Strive To Make This World Better
One thing I know is that if you give up, you can’t succeed. It’s just a basic law of the universe. Success only comes to people who work for what they want. Unfortunately, giving up can be easy to do. It always seems like the easier option when faced with hard work, struggle, or a little bit of pain. But, in the long run, it is the more difficult option. Why? Because after you give up, you look back on life and think, “What could I have done? Who could I have been? Where would I be now if I hadn’t given up?” Following are 19 never give up quotes to help you not have to ask those questions.
1. One Day It’s All Going To Pay Off
What feels like a struggle today will feel like a reward soon enough. That’s how everything goes. When you first start a new habit, it is hard, and then it becomes downright painful to stick to, but soon it becomes easier and your life changes for the better.
One thing people forget is that what you are doing today will affect your future. So, everything that is happening today is a result of your past, and everything that happens tomorrow is a result of your today. So, even though today is hard, if you are doing the right things, the day after tomorrow will be full of sunshine.
2. Fight For What You Believe In
If you feel something is right, don’t give up on it. You have that feeling for a reason. It’s there because you are meant to have it or meant to work towards it, so just go for it. Don’t let other people convince you that you shouldn’t just because they don’t believe in it. It doesn’t matter what they think or say, it’s not their beliefs that count in your life.
3. Look Into The Future
This is one of those never give up quotes that applies to a couple different things. First, the struggle that you are feeling, will it really matter in a year from now? Do you honestly think that it’s going to stick with you for that long? Will it always seem this bad? The answer should be no. Second, will giving up matter in a year from now? Will you look back and regret not going for it? And, lastly, will what you are working towards matter in a year from now? Will more money, a better relationship, or better health be worth the effort? Ask yourself these questions, and you will find the motivation to never give up.
4. Winners Almost Always Lose First
Very seldom does something work out instantly. It takes a few failures to get what you want, which is why you have to never give up! As this quote says, winners are just people who lost, but tried one more time. You never know when the next time is going to give you a winning result, so even if you fail, try just one more time.
5. Find Strength In What Can Happen
When you feel like giving up, visualize the possibility of the dream coming true. You started for a reason, and if you can keep that reason in your mind, then you are more likely to stay motivated towards making sure you keep moving forward.
6. You Don’t Need To Be Amazing To Achieve Success
She has said so much that Oprah Winfrey quotes could fill up a few books, or maybe a few hundred. With 25 years on the Oprah Winfrey Show, and almost 5 years doing other things focused on personal growth and making life better, Oprah Winfrey has had many experiences in her life and many interactions with people who had something to teach. It’s no wonder that her lifeclass became so popular.
Oprah’s Lifeclass is a place where she reveals the lessons and aha moments she’s learned, and where she learns some new ones along with all of us. It is about living your best life. Some of the ideas and thoughts have literally blown me away and changed my life.
If you haven’t watched Oprah’s Lifeclass, you can always go to her website and watch some clips. But, before you go, following are 15 Oprah Winfrey quotes taken from some of the classes that had a big impact on me.
1. You Are Responsible For Your Own Life
If you want to live your best life, then YOU have to live it. You can’t wait for someone else to do what you need or help you out because you are the only one who has the ability to move your life in the direction you want it to go. This is true for your happiness, health, relationships, career, and success in life. You are responsible for what happens to you, and when you take responsibility for that, like Oprah has, you do great things for yourself.
2. How Many Negative People Do You Have In Your Life?
While there are many Oprah Winfrey quotes on dealing with negative people, this one stood out to me. In short, she says that you need to take responsibility for why they are in your life. If you are surrounded by negative people, then there must be a part of you that is willing to tolerate them or want them in your life. There must be a part of you that resonates with them and is keeping them in your life.
Oprah has talked about making it very clear that people – friends and family included – are not welcome in her life if they are going to be negative towards her, but are welcome back if they are willing to lose the attitude.
From experience, I know that if you refuse to let people mistreat you, then you won’t accept the negativity in your life. Life becomes much too precious to allow yourself to be mistreated by the ones you love.
3. Listen To The Whispers
While there are some things that happen beyond our control, there are many other things that we have total control over, but let it get out of control because we are not paying attention to them. For example, we feel a pain in our side, but we don’t listen to the small little indicator that something is wrong, so it grows bigger and gets louder until we are willing to listen. Many times that means we let a whisper go all the way to a deafening noise before we do anything about it. But, if we can listen to the little messages that our body and the universe is sending us, we can stop things from getting out of control. Therefore, when you hear a whisper, tend to it before it gets too big.
4. Here’s How To Forgive Everything
If you are having trouble forgiving, this is one of the Oprah Winfrey quotes that I find helps me. When you can see that you are holding on to hope for your past to change by not forgiving, you can clearly see that it is useless.
You can’t change your past, no matter how much you want to. Sitting around and hoping that your past is going to change is a waste of time! So, let go of that hope, accept what happened as final, and focus on your now and your future instead.
5. How Bad Is Fear Really?
When you are operating out of a place of fear, you are always running away from the things that scare you. You don’t want to take risks. You don’t want to put yourself out there. But, getting everything you want requires you to face your fears first. When you face your fears, you do what your inner guidance system is telling you to do, and that’s when you get in alignment with who you are and what you are capable of doing.
6. Here’s How To Forgive Yourself
Some love quotes are focused on your boyfriend, girlfriend, friends, family members, or whoever, but the following love quotes can be used by everyone who wants to understand love better. I’m talking about love with anyone in your life, even strangers. Your health, your happiness, your stress levels, your confidence, and everything else improve when you add more love into your life, so it’s something that everyone needs to focus on.
Following are 10 love quotes that give insight into things that matter to many people. In other words, if you are struggling with something to do with love, you will likely find some inspiration with these love quotes.
1. Love Is What Really Matters
Wow. Can you picture yourself in that scenario? If you can, then this is one of the love quotes that will resonate with you strongly. Everything that seems to matter in our lives, when things are going well, changes when things are going really, really bad. Yet, we don’t get insight into that different perception until we live through the really, really bad.
Ellen Kreidman was talking about her fight with breast cancer and how she felt in this quote. She has since passed away after fighting with her breast cancer for over 19 years.
The next time you find yourself taking love for granted, I want you to remember this quote, put yourself in her shoes, feel the need to love and be loved back, and then appreciate the love you are getting with more appreciation than you’ve ever felt before.
2. Love Does Not Hurt
You’ve heard it before, but I’ll say it again! Love does not hurt! Love is not about enduring abuse or giving everything you have to someone who gives you nothing back. Love shouldn’t make you cry in the corner, feel pain, feel longing, or feel unloved! Yes, there may be pain as you work through different situations, but overall, love doesn’t stab you over and over again.
Oprah said this love quote as she talked about having her hand slammed in a door by a man she was dating. She fell to the ground, looked in the mirror, and, as many people do, considered the physical abuse crossing a line, even though she had been enduring the mental abuse for a while.
If you are in an abusive relationship, and you think you are staying because you love the person so much, think again. You are staying to prove a point.
– Maybe it is that you are capable of handling the abuse.
– Maybe you think you can change them somehow.
– Maybe you think you are staying because your kids would be upset if you left, and you want to show them that you care about them.
But, all of these things are invalid. No one was built to handle abuse all the time and stay sane. No one can change someone else. And, the kids would be better off with a strong single parent than a weak one in an abusive relationship.
3. Love’s Potential Changes Person To Person
– T.D. Jakes during Oprah’s Lifeclass
We all don’t love in equal amounts. Some people don’t look outside of themselves too often and, therefore, don’t have a lot of fondness for anyone. They are too busy focused on themselves, and only have a little bit of love to share with other people.
Other people have a lot of love for others in their heart. They are compassionate and considerate and enjoy the intimacy that comes from a happy and healthy relationship.
T.D. Jakes has a few good love quotes out there, but this one is meant to bring us the awareness that someone you want to love you may not have the capacity to do so. Wanting them to do it won’t change things, and wanting them to give you what you give them is unrealistic.
In other words, if you are in a relationship with a pint person, and you are a 10-gallon person, then they could be giving you all they are capable of giving you. If you want more than that, you will need to look for it elsewhere.
4. Make People Truly Feel Loved (And Require The Same For Yourself)
When you feel loved by someone, and they feel loved by you, it’s much easier to work through conflicts. But, when you don’t feel cared about by someone, and they don’t feel cared about by you, it adds elements of resentment that makes it hard to work through the problems.
Dr. Gary Chapman is a relationship counselor, and he wrote the book ‘The 5 Languages of Love’. He says that we all require different things in order to be loved, including physical touch, words of affirmation, acts of service, quality time, and receiving gifts.
Think about that concept in all of your relationships. If you can’t confidently say you know what your loved ones need, ask everyone what they need to feel loved, and then let them know what you need. Then do those things to keep each other’s love tank full. Not only will it help you in times of conflict, but it will benefit how you view each other even when times are good.
5. Don’t Love With Limitations
– Ellen DeGeneres on her marriage with Portia de Rossi
This is one of the great love quotes to remember when you are requiring someone to be different in order to love them, or they are requiring you to be different in order to love you. Love should be without condition. If someone loves you, they love you for who you are. They shouldn’t try to change your beliefs, habits, values, likes, dislikes, or anything else.
As Ellen said, she and Portia respect each other, which is important to her, and would be important to most people who understand what not being respected feels like. The bottom line is that when you respect the people you love and they respect you back, love feels much easier. There are no hard feelings involved.
6. Learn More About The People You Love
When one man can move so many people to do good things in this world, you know that he is doing something really right. That’s why Martin Luther King, Jr. quotes are so important to read and take to heart. They give you insight into what he believed, how he lived his life, and what made him such an amazing man that so many people in the world listened to – and still listen to.
He never gave up on living a life of strong morals and fighting for justice. Between the years of 1957 to 1968, he showed up and spoke wherever he needed to stand behind protest and action for injustice, and if he wouldn’t have been assassinated, who knows what else he could have done for this world.
You can make a difference too. You can make a difference in your own life, and get a real sense of what living with truth and morality is all about. And you can make a difference in other people’s lives by being a strong example of what’s right. Let these Martin Luther King, Jr. quotes move you to live a life that is full of meaning and potential.
1. Stay Connected To Everyone
Don’t isolate yourself as if you are in this world alone. You’re not! And, we are much stronger united then we are acting on our own behalf’s. We are all here to experience joy and feel good at the end of the day. We are all here to create a world that is sustainable for ourselves and our children. Staying connected, and viewing each other as one working together to create a better world instead of individuals working for ourselves, will go a long way to create a peaceful and habitable world.
2. Speak Up
You have a voice, so use it! Your voice counts. Your voice can make a difference. The day you stop using it, is the day you stop contributing to the world and making your life better.
The truth about your life is that it is always in motion. You are either becoming stronger and doing more good for yourself and others, or you are becoming weaker and not affecting anything. You have to speak up to make it clear what you want out of this life or you won’t be able to become stronger and do more good. Instead, you will retreat into the shadows where what you want is far away.
3. Love Others
One thing you will notice, from the many Martin Luther King, Jr. quotes, is that he was a man of love. He loved everyone, and that was likely one of the traits that made him so powerful.
His message that you should love in order to transform an enemy into a friend is something to keep in mind the next time you face someone you don’t like. You can’t force people to like you by showing how great you are or try to influence how they feel about you. But, you can use love. You can kill their hate with love. Try it out for yourself! Watch what happens to your relationship with someone when you express love. You will be surprised at how easy it is to turn an enemy into a friend.
4. Be A Light
If you want to put an end to darkness and hate, you have to be a light. You have to be a kind, loving, and positive example, and stand in the light of what is right and good for yourself and everyone else. If you try to match darkness and hate, you will never be able to eliminate it.
This is important to remember if you feel a lot of darkness or hate in your life. You have to counteract those feelings with light and love in order to abolish them.
5. Stay Hopeful
Hope is an important part of life. It keeps you motivated to do what you need to do for the betterment of yourself and others. A great example of this is Rosa Parks and the Montgomery Bus Boycott. She was the woman who inspired a bus boycott that lasted just over a year against the policy of racial segregation on the bus. Martin Luther King, Jr. took part in the movement and received national attention as a rising leader because of it. It was a long process, but they held hope that what was right would prevail, and it did! Hope keeps your dreams alive and keeps you on the right path towards them.
6. Fight For Justice
Do you have a strong feeling that you can’t do it, but you are still being called to try it, to go after it, to make it happen? How many times has this happened in your life? How many times have you ignored the call to do something because you simply believed that you couldn’t do it? If you are like most people, you’ve probably had quite a few times where you stopped before you even really started to try.
Today is the day to stop all that nonsense. It’s time to stop talking yourself out of doing things you want and to start talking yourself into doing those things. Today is the day to start going after what you want. Today is the day to convince yourself that it is possible, with the help of these ‘you can do it quotes’. Read them, memorize them, write them down, and use them every time you need a kick in the butt to keep going after what you want.
1. You Can Do Anything They Can Do
Whatever you want to do, there is a good chance that someone else has already done it. If someone else can achieve something, why can’t you? You have the ability to learn, practice, take action, and succeed just like they do, so why can’t you find success? There is absolutely no good answer to that. As long as you are willing to learn, develop your skills, and continuously take action on what you want, then you can do anything that anyone else has. It’s just a matter of doing the things that help you find the success.
2. How Do You Know You Can’t Do It?
Are you sure, without a doubt, that you can’t do it? How exactly do you know that? Have you tried? Have you pushed yourself? Have you felt the pressure and kept going to learn what you are really capable of? If not, then you don’t know for sure. You are simply guessing that you can’t do it.
How about turning the tables and making a guess that you are capable of doing it. How about using these ‘you can do it quotes’ to remind yourself of why you are capable of doing it. Then you will move towards that pressure, get under it, and see exactly what you are made of.
3. Learn To Deal With The Fear
This is a great lesson about going after the things you want. Jeff Bridges was trying to decide whether he wanted to act or not, and was facing a lot of fear that was holding him back, but when he saw that Robert Ryan – a long time actor – was sweating during a scene, he realized that it was a matter of just dealing with the fear, not getting over the fear.
Fear is what is holding you back from going after what you want, and until you learn to deal with it, you will always be held back in life. The good news is that everyone you already see out there doing it still has a sense of fear, and if they can do it despite their fear, so can you!
4. You Will Find A Way
Who better to take ‘you can do it quotes’ from than Oprah? She is the champion of doing it despite what people tell her, and even despite what she tells herself. So, take a second to really consider this truth that she has discovered about going after what you want.
When you are an energetic match with what you want and what is coming your way, then a space will be created for it to happen. In other words, something will open up in your life, or you will open up and find a way to make it happen. Even if you don’t think you have the time, energy, or resources to make it happen, you will find a way if you want it bad enough and it was meant to be in your life.
5. You Are Worthy!
If you believe that you can do it, then you are worthy of it! All you have to do is get out of your own way and stop holding yourself back with fears, lies, and procrastination. Patti LaBelle also said “Don’t punk out,” when talking about going after an opportunity you want.
Think about the fact that she was part of the first African-American vocal group to hit the cover of Rolling Stone, among many other awesome achievements. Imagine how much she could have stood in her own way, but didn’t! So, the next time you start telling yourself that you can’t do it, try telling yourself not to punk out, because you are worthy of everything you do, despite what your critical voice is telling you or what other people think.
6. You Can Do It If It’s Right
The man who I know best for supporting the banning of slavery was an interesting man. Abraham Lincoln quotes show that he was thoughtful and compassionate, and had a sense of humor. He was alive in an interesting time, and he was president during a tough time in our history, but he still kept his head about him. We can all learn a lot from looking at life through his knowledgeable eyes. Following are 17 Abraham Lincoln quotes to help you become wiser tomorrow than you were today.
1. This Is The Best Way To Destroy Your Enemies
This is such an insightful thing to say! If only everyone could think this way, what a world we would live in. There is a better way to take out your enemies in life, and that is to stop, take the time to get to know them, learn who they are and find ways to relate to them, and ultimately befriend them and make them a part of your life. When they become your friend, you will no longer have an enemy.
2. Moving Forward Is Great At Any Pace
Another one of the popular Abraham Lincoln quotes points out that things come to those who wait, but they only get the stuff that the people who hustle leave behind. So, with that thought in mind, it makes you wonder how fast he really chose to walk in life.
Regardless, this quote is perfect for anyone who wants to experience continued growth and more success. If you stand still, you won’t get anywhere. If you walk backwards, you will make the same mistakes and have the same failures you had before. But, if you walk forward, no matter how slowly you do it, you will experience growth and more success.
3. Your State Of Mind Dictates Your Happiness
There is no doubt about it – your state of mind dictates how happy or successful you are going to be today. If you make up your mind that life sucks, people suck, and that everything is out to get you, how can you possibly be happy? But, if you make your mind up that life is pretty darn awesome and each day is a gift that you get to open, then how can you not be happy?
If you are not happy, take a look at your beliefs because they affect your thoughts, and your thoughts and state of mind are the cause behind your perception on life.
4. Everyone Deserves The Best In Life
I fully agree with this Abraham Lincoln quote! It’s really important to give what you desire yourself to every human being. There is no human that is less or more important than you. There is no one who deserves your personal punishment. There is no one who deserves to be limited from what they want in life. Everyone should be able to experience a happy and fulfilling life, just as you want for yourself.
Obviously, this quote can be applied to slavery, however, it applies to anything in life. If you deny others food, they why should you be fed? If you deny others love, then why should you be loved?
I’m not sure if Abraham Lincoln was aware of this, but there is a universal truth that what you give out comes back to you. Therefore, if you are not getting what you want in life, you may want to take a look at what you are giving out. Are you making this world a great place for everyone, or are you denying others and yourself in the process?
5. Here’s How To Like Someone
This is just like destroying your enemies, but it can be applied to anyone. Interestingly, as I was going through various Abraham Lincoln quotes, a neighbor of mine started making a ton of noise outside. Somewhere from deep inside of me the words ‘I don’t like him” rose up. I have no idea why I thought them, but then I found this quote within a few seconds afterwards and realized it was the universe trying to teach me a lesson. I don’t know him. All I know about him is that he makes a lot of noise outside. But, I’m sure if I were to get to know him better, I would see he is an interesting or caring person that has some qualities that I would actually like!
6. You Can Laugh Or Cry
All of quotes were made before the age of 44. Even though he lived to the age of 55, during the last 11 years of his life he had no use of his mental capabilities. While many of Friedrich Nietzsche quotes were focused on religion, or the fallacy of it, it would be interesting to see what he would have written about later in his life and if his opinion would have changed. Although, the statement ‘God is dead’ did come from him, so there would likely have been no change in how he viewed religion. Many of his quotes are focused on human behavior and existence, and following are 17 quotes that moved me.
1. Purpose Gets Us Through
If you have a purpose – a ‘why’, then you will be able to make it through anything. Reading this quote, I thought about a friend’s grandmother who had a husband in a wheelchair, two floods take away everything she owned, two kids die from murder, two kids suffer from alcoholism, one kid gets diagnosed with a fatal disease, and watched the death of almost everyone she loved before she died, yet, she still got through it all with a sense of humor and a positive outlook on life. Her ‘why’ was taking care of her family in the best way she could, and that purpose helped her get through the toughest of times instead of giving up. What’s your ‘why’?
2. Awareness Provides Meaning
You have probably heard many people exclaim that life is hard. That is true, depending on your perception. If you are just merely living, then you are suffering. Bad things happen. Unwanted things come into your path. Ugly people and situations come into your life without warning. Without meaning, you will suffer. But, when you have the awareness to see that all of these things can teach you something about life and yourself, and then find the meaning in them, you will get through each situation intact.
3. Let Your Inner Child Out!
Grownups are expected to act grown up, but we don’t lose our sense of play! I think that Friedrich Nietzsche meant ‘real’ as in a sense of acting like a man is supposed to act – strong, composed, and serious. However, take away the ‘real’ aspect and you just have a man – a human, who never loses the ability to play and enjoy himself.
It’s useful advice not to keep your inner child locked away. You are allowed to let him or her out, and according to experts, it can actually be beneficial! Playing helps you to create, feel challenged, de-stress, refocus, and get along with other people. It is a tool that every ‘real’ person should use!
4. Teach Openness Instead Of Narrow-Mindedness
Some of the ugliest people I have come across are very narrow-minded. Anyone who doesn’t think like them are ridiculed, looked down upon, and treated poorly. Unfortunately, those people have a very boring life.
Teaching kids to be open, and curious about other people’s opinions and perceptions, is the best way to teach them to be loving, compassionate, and interesting. In fact, teaching others to see the value that everyone has – the equal value – would be beneficial to creating a kinder and more peaceful world. Sounds worth it to me!
5. Keep Busy In Life
This is one of those Friedrich Nietzsche quotes that should inspire you to get up and get thinking! In essence, he’s saying that an idle mind or life is what promotes the need to study the mind and what is going on in it. Perhaps referring to mental issues, such as a negative mindset, anxiety, or depression.
It is well-known that we need to keep our mind healthy in order to live richer and fulfilling lives. Happiness, satisfaction, awareness, and positive thinking all come from a healthy mind! Therefore, keep busy and give your brain the exercise that it needs to stay strong. Learn something new, read, play challenging mind games, debate, or start a new hobby. Never become idle in life.
6. Why Do They Talk About Themselves So Much?
As you read Mark Twain quotes, it becomes apparent that he had a huge sense of humor. In fact, he is known as the greatest American humorist of his time. If you get the chance, I highly recommend reading Mark Twain’s bio. Everything about him was interesting, even the way he came into and left this world. But before you do, check out the following 18 Mark Twain quotes that might give you some insight into how to have more happiness in life.
1. The Truth Will Free Up Your Mind
I learned this a long time ago. Telling lies is hard! You have to keep your stories straight, and more often than not you get busted and look like a fool in front of the people you lied to. But, when you don’t lie, you don’t have to remember anything. You just speak freely, think freely, and people trust you more because it’s apparent that you are willing to say the truth. If you want to be happier, starting right now, start telling the truth – to other people and to yourself.
2. Do What Makes You Happy Now
Is there something that you know will make you happy, but you’ve been putting it off? As Mark Twain says so simply, you have to get started in order to get ahead. If you know that better health will make you happier, then you have to get started on living a healthier life. If you know that a healthier relationship will make you happier, then you have to find a way to improve your relationship. Once you get started, you can become successful in the areas that make you happiest.
3. Happy Relationships Depend On This
If you want to have happier relationships, then this is one of the Mark Twain quotes you need to remember. If you make someone your priority in life, and you are someone they could live without if someone better came along, then you are doing your happiness a disservice. In order to have a happy relationship, there has to be some give-and-take. You can’t give everything and get nothing or you will start to feel ignored and undervalued, which will affect your happiness. In other words, ditch the importance on the relationships where you are an option and focus on the relationships where you are a priority.
4. Don’t Wallow In Your Sadness
If you are feeling down, it is important to reach out to other people. While you may want to sit around and focus on your sadness, that’s not the ticket to feeling better. Helping others feel better helps you see things from a different perspective, which helps you feel better about your own problems. Moreover, it takes your mind off your problems for a while, and that break can decrease the attachment you feel to the pain.
5. What Really Matters?
You being born, and you figuring out why you are here, are two of the greatest days you will experience in your life. You being born means that your awesomeness was added to this world – and when you figure out why you are here, you will really understand why that is so important!

1. Your Habits Define You
There is no escaping the truth that your habits define you. Your habits determine how your days go, which ultimately determines how much success you have.
For instance, if you are in the habit of procrastination, then you are going to constantly put off the things that are the hardest – and most valuable for your success. Therefore, if you want to be outstanding in any area of your life, make habits that help you become outstanding and work on developing them day after day.

Therefore, if your efforts at work are producing poor results, you need to see if there is a way to increase your pleasure in your job. If you can’t find a way to increase your pleasure, then you need to find a more pleasurable job if you want to start producing work that makes you feel proud at the end of the day.
